The Syroco system will provide [advanced performance routing](https://syro.co/en/syroco-live-features/) and decision support as the ship sails into [challenging maritime environments](https://syro.co/en/news/getting-accurate-weather-open-ocean-areas/) between Europe and the Southern Hemisphere. Syroco Live is a real-time voyage optimisation platform that combines [live operational data](https://syro.co/en/news/ml-driven-recalibration-models-enhanced-accuracy/), ship-specific [digital twins](https://syro.co/en/digital-twin/), and evolving weather and oceanic forecasts to guide routing and speed decisions. On board the ESL Australia, the system will help the crew navigate weather conditions safely while reducing [fuel consumption and emissions](https://syro.co/en/news/how-syroco-live-computes-fuel-consumption/) throughout the voyage. “Regardless of their destination, sea voyages always place high demands on the vessel and crew,” said Marcin Goldman, Shipping Director of Euroafrica. “Deploying Syroco Live gives us the confidence to face unpredictable weather and sea states while optimising the voyage for both safety and efficiency.
