The move supports the objectives of Knutsen LNG France, a subsidiary of Norwegian shipping company Knutsen, to boost efficiency and safety in navigation across its fleet while adhering to the [strict operational constraints of LNG carriers](https://syro.co/en/news/advanced-weather-routing-lng-carriers/) and the requirements of several charter party agreements. The collaboration began in 2024 with the installation of [*Syroco Live*](https://syro.co/en/syroco-live/) on four LNG carriers. The initial phase demonstrated the platform’s ability to support consistent voyage execution, enhance decision making for crews and shore teams, and integrate effectively into daily operations. Based on the results, Knutsen steadily expanded the deployment across its fleet. “Our initial deployments allowed us to carefully evaluate the solution under real operational conditions and across different charter party requirements and to monitor crew adoption,” said Ludovic Gérard, President of Knutsen LNG France. “Expanding Syroco Live across our LNG fleet is helping us operate more safely and efficiently while meeting the expectations of a diverse group of charterers.” LNG carriers operate under complex and often demanding charter party agreements, with performance, safety, and operational requirements that can vary significantly depending on the charterer. Knutsen’s LNG fleet is chartered by a diverse range of energy companies, each with specific expectations regarding voyage execution, energy management, reporting, and compliance. Syroco Live supports this operational complexity by providing transparent, consistent, and reliable performance monitoring that helps ensure alignment with charter party obligations while optimising day-to-day operations. Syroco Live delivers real-time voyage optimisation for each vessel while fully respecting the operational constraints inherent to LNG shipping. By combining accurate performance models with real-time operational data, the platform enables informed decisions that balance efficiency, safety, and contractual compliance.
