Meet Enzo, Fleet Manager at Syroco Onwatch

From high-level sailing to maritime decarbonisation, Enzo’s journey has always been driven by precision, curiosity and a deep connection to the sea.

Before joining Syroco, Enzo pursued competitive sailing at a high level, while studying engineering. Balancing sports and academics shaped the way he works today with focus and technical understanding.

After the Covid pandemic, Enzo shifted his trajectory fully to engineering. He joined a work-study programme at an engineering school in Bordeaux, France, gaining hands-on experience and obtaining a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. But throughout it all, his passion for the maritime world remained constant.

This passion, combined with a strong interest in meteorology and route planning, led him to Syroco, where he joined the Onwatch team in 2024 as a Fleet Manager.

What drives him?

Enzo thrives on analysing weather data and understanding optimal sailing routes.

“I really enjoy diving into forecasts and finely tuned trajectories that will help ships reduce fuel consumption. When a captain is pleased with the route, arriving right on time and burning less fuel, that's the best kind of feedback we can receive.”

And beyond work?

Enzo continues to spend much of his free time at sea. While he no longer competes at the same level, he still sails frequently - whether it’s wing foiling after work, weekend cruising, or occasional regattas.

What matters most?

For Enzo, working at Syroco means being part of a team that shares the same values.

“What I really enjoy is the trust and communication within the team. We’re all working towards the same goal: achieving performance that delivers both environmental and economic impact.”
