Syroco Selected for Funding under the CORIMER ‘Low Carbon Ships’ Call for Projects
Marseille, 5 February 2026 - Syroco, the Climate Tech startup which supports the energy transition of maritime transportation, is pleased to announce that it has been selected for funding under the CORIMER Low Carbon Ships Call for Projects, operated by ADEME as part of the France 2030 investment plan and supported by the French Maritime Industry Research and Innovation Steering Committee (CORIMER).
The CORIMER Low Carbon Ships Call for Projects supports innovative solutions capable of delivering rapid and sustainable reductions in emissions of maritime transport. It translates France’s national decarbonisation ambition into concrete industrial action that creates value while strengthening technological and industrial sovereignty.
The project led by Syroco is built on the next generation of Syroco Live, its voyage optimisation solution. The platform combines advanced physical modelling, artificial intelligence and real time operational data to create a dynamic digital twin of the vessel. By integrating actual operational constraints alongside each vessel’s technical characteristics, Syroco Live recommends optimised navigation strategies that reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions while improving operational efficiency.
Designed for large-scale deployment across multiple segments of maritime transport, the next generation of Syroco Live aligns fully with the France 2030 strategy, which aims to develop an innovative and competitive maritime sector capable of addressing climate challenges while reinforcing France’s industrial position.
“Being selected for funding under the CORIMER Low Carbon Ships Call for Projects represents a major milestone for Syroco,” said Alex Caizergues, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Syroco. “This recognition confirms the scientific excellence of our approach and our ability to translate advanced technologies into operational solutions with measurable environmental impact. With the support of ADEME and France 2030, we will accelerate the deployment of Syroco Live in support of more efficient and lower impact navigation.”
Catherine Chabaud, French Delegate Minister for the Sea, stated: “The selected projects reflect a clear ambition to make the ecological transition a driver of sustainable transformation for our maritime economy. By supporting innovative solutions designed and developed in France, the administration is enabling the evolution of our maritime sector through a collaborative approach, where the expertise of one sector strengthens another and collectively builds French leadership in maritime decarbonisation.”
The France 2030 plan mobilises significant public investment to accelerate the emergence of innovative technologies and support the country’s ecological and industrial transformation. Through the CORIMER Low Carbon Ships Call for Projects, the administration confirms its intention to position France among the global leaders in low carbon maritime solutions.
By securing this funding, Syroco reinforces its ambition to play a leading role in the sustainable transformation of maritime transport and to contribute actively to the achievement of national and European climate objectives.
