Fluid Mechanics & CFD

Design and simulations involving the mechanics of fluids (liquids, gases, and plasmas) and the forces on them.

Addressed by numerical methods such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

Structural Dynamics

Study of the behavior of a structure subjected to dynamic loading through its interaction with fluids.

Use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) modelling techniques.

Dynamic Simulation

Complex simulations such as wave pattern simulation and prediction, or velocity prediction of multibody systems.

Formation of non-linear wave fields, creation of advanced Velocity Prediction Programs (VPP).

Energy Management

Production, storage and consumption, especially in contexts where multiple energy sources are available and their depletion and renewal must be optimized to combine long-term and short-term efficiency.

IoT & Sensors

Connected objects and sensors built into systems (or added afterwards).

Collection of data to provide operator guidance, make automated decisions, and analyze performance in retrospect.

Software

Model creation and enrichment for CFD, FEA and FSI.

Development of systems for operation or energy management, collection and analysis of external data, etc.

Innovation is supported by the use of an advanced technology platform, made of the most powerful design and simulation tools on the market, and using supercomputing facilities located in several university labs across the world for fast simulation runs.
