Syroco reveals new Athens and London offices and welcomes three senior hires
The new offices bring local expertise and on-the-ground support for Syroco’s growing customer base in strategic maritime hubs as part of expansion plans across Europe
Marseille, France - 6 November 2025 - Climate tech specialist Syroco has officially opened new regional headquarters in Athens, Greece, and London, UK, strategically extending its presence across Europe to support rising demand for its AI-powered voyage optimisation platform.
The move, which is supported by three key new hires, follows the Marseille, France-based tech specialist’s €7.5 million Series A funding secured at the end of 2024. The funds are being used both to advance the development of its core Syroco Live platform and support the company’s accelerating commercial expansion, with new regional headquarters also opening in Hamburg, Germany earlier this year.

“Our growth comes as demand for voyage optimisation and weather routing software continues to accelerate globally, with more and more shipping leaders embracing the power of digital solutions to transform their businesses and support their energy transition,” said Alex Caizergues, Co-Founder and CEO of Syroco.
“Expanding into Greece and the UK is a natural next step in our growth journey, ensuring we have local expertise and knowledge on the ground to better support our expanding customer base in new markets. This means our customers will benefit from even stronger support and tailored solutions, helping them to unlock greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness while achieving their sustainability goals.”

Syroco Live is a voyage routing and weather optimisation platform designed to improve energy efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions of ships. The platform features an AI- and data-powered digital twin simulation of the actual ship using the service, which sails in parallel in real time.
The platform is able to compute hundreds of thousands of voyage options in just a few minutes, using AI-powered algorithms to select the most optimal route, bringing fuel savings that average at 10 per cent per voyage without increasing voyage time.
