Through its financial support to the development of Syroco, Champagne Taittinger is committed to serving the energy transition of maritime transport.

The start-up was founded by Alex Caizergues, a four-time kitesurf world champion and two-time world sailing speed record holder. Based on research on sailing speed, it develops software solutions that allow ships to optimize their energy efficiency and environmental impact.

Already marketed to shipping companies and shipyards, the Syroco EfficientShip platform enables them to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by up to 20%.

VItalie Taittinger, President of Champagne Taittinger: “For our company, which exports heavily, particularly by sea, it is important to participate in the development of concrete solutions for the protection of the environment. Alexandre, in addition to being a great French champion, is a generous person. We want to help him and his team measure up to new noble and ambitious challenges.”

Alex Caizergues, CEO and co-founder of Syroco: “With the Taittinger team and their global distributors, we are enthusiastic about starting this collaboration. We are proud to receive the support of a prestigious house and a cheerful company, which wishes to commit even more to the energy transition.”
